In 1987, the popular gold house Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri of Opera House branch was robbed by a conman, Mohan Singh, in broad daylight. With the help of 26 accomplices, Mohan had smartly done away with several gold pieces from the store.

This famous store robbery will be now translated onto the screens by Neeraj Pandey of ‘A Wednesday’ fame. And the one who is going to be featured as Mohan Singh is our Abhishek Bachchan. According to sources, the director said, “I can’t deny that Abhishek is on board but I want to get some other key members of the cast in place before I make a formal announcement. The film requires 26 actors and I want to make sure all of them are just right for their part.”

The film will be titled as ‘Special Chabbis’ and is said to go on floors in mid-2010.
